RR vs DC 2024: “I used a pain killer…..” Riyan Parag
Rajasthan Royals‘ young star Ryan Parag has revealed a shocking detail behind his spectacular performance against the Delhi Capitals – he played the match with the help of painkillers. His unbeaten score of 84 runs from 45 balls helped the team to win this match.
During the ceremony after the match, Parag was rewarded as the ‘Player of the Match’ for his outstanding batting performance. He also mentioned that he was feeling unwell before the game and had to take the necessary medication. Playing at number 4 for the Rajasthan team, Parag has had an impressive start to the IPL 2024 season. In his innings against Delhi, he hit seven boundaries and six maximums.
Parag said, “I’ve had to work vеry hard for thе last thrее days. I was in bеd and I was sick and I just got up today with painkillеrs and еtc. and I could still managе today. So I am rеally happy for mysеlf”.
His innings was a display of power-hitting and intelligent stroke selection especially against world-class pacer, Anrich Nortje, leaving the crowd and commentators in awe. He scored 4,4,6,4,6,1 in the last over of Nortje.
