IPL 2024 Updates: Maharaj Replaces Krishna at Rajasthan Royals, KKR Signs Young Afghan Spinner

As IPL 2024 is approaching every franchise is looking for the best option to survive in this epic battle. KKR and Rajasthan have introduced two new players in their team.
The Rajasthan Royals have signed the experienced South African spinner Keshav Maharaj as a replacement for their injured pacer, Prasidh Krishna. Krishna underwent surgery on his left quadriceps tendon and is out for the entire IPL season. Maharaj, a left-arm spinner with a proven track record in international cricket, was brought in for his base price of INR 50 lakh. He adds depth and experience to the Royals’ spin attack.

The Kolkata Knight Riders surprised fans by signing a relatively unknown player – 16-year-old Afghan spinner Allah Ghazanfar. Ghazanfar, who recently made his international debut in ODIs against Ireland, has impressed with his skills at the U-19 World Cup earlier this year. He joined KKR as a replacement for the injured Mujeeb Ur Rahman for his base price of INR 20 lakh. This move signifies KKR’s willingness to invest in young talent and potentially unearth a future star.
